Kiln element finder
Find the right element for your kiln
Start typing your kiln brand or model. We wind each element to factory resistance — ±2% tolerance, Kanthal A1 wire.
Don't know your model? That's normal — send us a photo instead.
Or pick it from a list
Does that match your kiln?
Any answer is fine — we confirm against your serial and photo before winding either way.

No match in the table — but we very likely still wind for it. Send us the details and we will confirm.
What this table does and does not tell you. It gives element count and supply voltage — enough to narrow things down, and not enough on its own to wind an element. Resistance, wire gauge and coil length are what we actually wind to, and none of them can be read off a model name. That is why we ask for the serial and a photo of the data plate. Counts and voltages reflect the standard configuration for each model, and manufacturers revise specifications across production runs. If your kiln disagrees with this table, your kiln is right.
Getting it right
How to order the right element
- Find the data plate. On most kilns it is inside the lid or on the control box. You want the model and the serial — the serial matters because specs change across production runs.
- Check your supply voltage. 240V and 208V kilns take differently wound elements. Fitting the wrong one costs you output and element life. Here is why it matters.
- Confirm the element count. Look in the chamber and count. If it differs from the table above, trust the kiln.
- Test before you buy, if you can. A multimeter reading tells you whether the elements have actually aged out. Run the numbers here.
- Order a full set. Mixing new and aged elements fires unevenly. Replacing the set keeps the chamber consistent.
Kiln element questions
My kiln model is not in the list. Can you still help?
Almost certainly. This table covers the models we are asked about most, not the limit of what we wind. We make elements for nearly any electric kiln, including discontinued and imported models. Send the brand, model and serial from the data plate, or photograph the old element against a tape measure, and we will work out the spec.
Why does the table show both 240V and 208V for some models?
Because the same kiln model is sold in both, and they need differently wound elements. A 208V element fitted to a 240V supply will run hot and fail early; a 240V element on 208V will never reach temperature properly. Your supply voltage is on the kiln data plate — check it before ordering rather than assuming.
Should I order a full set or just the failed element?
A full set, in almost every case. The remaining elements have the same firing hours and the same oxidation, so a second failure soon after is common. More importantly, a new low-resistance element beside aged high-resistance ones puts out more heat and fires unevenly — which shows up as warped or under-fired work.
How do I know the element count is right for my kiln?
The count in this table reflects the standard configuration for that model, but manufacturers do revise specs across production runs. That is why we ask for the serial number as well as the model. Count the elements in your kiln before ordering — if it disagrees with the table, yours is right and we will wind to it.
The table lists my kiln. Is that enough to wind an element?
Not on its own, no. Element count and supply voltage narrow it down, but winding needs resistance, wire gauge and coil length, and none of those are derivable from a model name alone. That is exactly why we ask for the serial and a photo of the data plate rather than quoting straight from a table.

Tell us your kiln and we will spec the set
Brand, model and serial from the data plate. If the plate has faded, a photo of the old element on a tape measure works just as well.
