When the original is no longer made
Equipment routinely outlives its parts catalogue. If the element you need was discontinued, we can have one built to the original dimensions and ratings — usually far cheaper and faster than replacing the equipment around it.
What we need from you
The more of this you can supply, the tighter the build. Photographs against a tape measure cover most of it.
- Overall dimensions — length, width, and depth of the element as fitted
- Mounting arrangement — flange or bracket dimensions, hole spacing, thread size
- Coil geometry — number of passes or bends, and the spacing between them
- Electrical ratings — voltage, wattage, and phase from the equipment nameplate
- Terminal style and orientation — where the connections come off and how they land
- The old element itself, if you still have it — photographs of a failed part tell us a great deal
Take the ratings from the equipment, not the building
Voltage and phase must come off the equipment nameplate rather than being assumed from the building service. A 600V three-phase supply does not mean every element in the building is 600V three-phase, and getting this wrong wastes a custom build.
How the process runs
- You send what you have. Photos, measurements, the old part, the nameplate — whatever exists.
- We come back with questions. There are almost always one or two dimensions that need confirming. We ask rather than guess.
- You approve a written specification. Every dimension and rating in writing, plus a firm lead time and price, before anything is built.
- We build and ship. Against the approved specification, nothing changed without telling you.
What we build most
Commercial HVAC duct heaters. Frames vary widely by manufacturer and vintage, and original parts are frequently obsoleted while the equipment stays in service for decades.
Industrial and process elements. Where equipment was built for a specific application and never had a mass-market replacement.
Older kiln elements. Where a manufacturer has stopped supporting a discontinued model, but the kiln itself is still perfectly good.
Lead times
Honestly quoted up front rather than after you have committed. Stock-profile elements move quickly. Genuinely custom geometry takes longer. You will have a firm date before you approve the order, and if something slips we tell you rather than letting you find out from a tracking page.
