We identify the part, then we sell it
Reliable Heating supplies replacement heating elements for water heaters, electric furnaces, heat pumps, HVAC equipment and kilns. We are based in Markham, Ontario, and we ship across Canada.
The problem we solve
Almost nobody who needs a heating element knows which one they need. The part number has rubbed off, the manufacturer discontinued it years ago, or the equipment is sold only through trade channels that will not deal with a homeowner. Meanwhile the tank is cold, or the kiln has stalled with a load of work inside it.
So we work backwards. Send us a photo of the rating plate and we identify the element from its specification — voltage, wattage, mount style, physical dimensions. That approach means we can supply for equipment whose original part numbers are long dead, and for brands that will not sell to you directly.
How we work
- We confirm before we ship. You get the specification in writing and approve it. Nothing arrives that we have not checked will fit.
- We will tell you not to buy. A meaningful share of "dead element" enquiries turn out to be a thermostat, a sequencer or a tripped limit. We would rather say so than sell you a part that will not fix anything.
- We answer within one business day. Heating problems are not the kind of thing that can wait a week for a reply.
- We build what is no longer made. Where an original is discontinued, we can have a matching element manufactured to the original dimensions and ratings.
Why the free tools
The calculators and guides on this site exist because the alternative — people ordering parts they do not need — is bad for everyone. A customer who orders correctly the first time comes back. One who receives a part that does not fix their problem does not, and reasonably so.
